Quick Tips To Invest In Property Like A Dragon

We are often asked by first time investors or those wishing to enhance their knowledge of the property market, exactly where the best place is to brush up on their skills and maximise the potential return from their investment.

One of the first things you can do is mentally walk up the steps into your own Dragon’s Den.

Sounds weird, I know but stick with me!

• If you have set up funds to purchase with a view to increasing your net worth, how might one of the famous dragons look upon your proposal?

• Have you thought everything through?

• What startup capital are you coming into the den with?

• How much do you know about property?

• How much effort are you willing to put into the project?

• Do you have time to do so?

• Can you subsidise your investment during the bad times?

• Have you planned tax efficiently?

• If things do go wrong, how will this affect you?

• Are you looking for yield-based investments or quick capital gains?

Whether you are using your own finance or the bank’s you should take time (this should take at least 5 hours) to prepare a business plan.

You will then be able to look at the potential rewards and pitfalls and look back at it every 3 months to review performance.

There are many individuals and corporations making profits in the market at the moment and often the difference between them and those who are not has little to do with skill or luck but is more to do with planning.

The potential profits are there for all, just level the playing field and run your property portfolio like a big business. We think that the Dragons would approve.
